I don&#8217;t want to know. Because I love it.<\/p>\n<p>I love the home-grown nature of it, the pull-yourself up by your bootstraps nature of it, and, frankly, the fine writing! Check out this April&#8217;s fools&#8217; day post, slamming on -gasp &#8211; our nation&#8217;s finest baseball team, management, and sense of &#8220;giving back.&#8221; :<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>Opening Day has taken on new meaning in the nation\u2019s capital this year as the Washington Nationals are opening the doors of<br \/>\ntheir new southeast D.C. stadium to the<br \/>\ncity\u2019s homeless population for overnight<br \/>\nstays throughout the season.<br \/>\nUnder the \u201cOpen Door Policy\u201d unveiled<br \/>\non April Fool\u2019s Day by Team President Stan<br \/>\nKasten, the homeless are invited to sleep in<br \/>\nstadium seats or on the concourse at Nationals<br \/>\nPark but must stay off of the field,<br \/>\na compromise brokered by Head Groundskeeper<br \/>\nDoug Lopas, who stressed the need<br \/>\nto protect the stadium\u2019s new turf.<br \/>\n\u201cThis generous plan will keep displaced<br \/>\nresidents from having to leave the city in<br \/>\na futile search for low-income housing options,\u201d<br \/>\nsaid Barbara Silva, the Nationals<\/em><em> director of community relations. \u201cthe impression that economic progress depressed regions has a detrimental effect on<br \/>\nthe poor.\u201d<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Wow.
