It is 8:20 p.m.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/15455267@N04\/2562198029\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail alignleft\" style=\"margin-top:2px;margin-bottom:2px;\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3003\/2562198029_d568c8ca91.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"100\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I open the curtain to see that no, it is the summer sky before a storm.<\/p>\n<p>Yellow beams hit my curtains, pebbled sandy driveway, clean white stone of the walls of my building. The rain is coming.<\/p>\n<p>Thunder literally rolls over the yellow green of grass, magnolia tree leaves, footprints.<\/p>\n<p>Flashes of white that stab the earth and listen, wait.<\/p>\n<p>I open the curtains wide to breathe in the wet wind.<\/p>\n<p>When the rain comes, it is in drumming, pattering waves. I love the smell, the taste, the feel of the night from my room, the same storms I watched from a similarly yellow-lit blue room of my childhood.<\/p>\n<p>The summer storm makes me feel something is coming.
