cell phone characters crazy crazy mccrazyton dc dupont dupont circle Fox and Hounds H Street mystery oddities people you see wash washington
So I’m just wondering…
- What happened to the crazy mccrazyton at the Dupont Metro round about 12:50 p.m. today (Weds)? She was screaming that some tourists had videoed her and that was a violation of civil rights and she wants the tape and call the police and help. Two metro station managers were on the case. I had to go back to work, couldn’t stay and snoop, but the poor Mrs. Tourist looked very unhappy. Poor thing.
- Did my pals waiting to go camping who had set up shop with their foldable chairs, snacks, and all, outside my office ever catch their ride?
- Why do people feel a need to powerwash the sidewalks on H Street (H street for cryin out loud) EVERY day? And if they must, is morning (walking) rush hour really the best time for that? I’m just sayin.
- Did the verrrry loud girl on the phone who plopped herself right up close to the friendly looking fellow reading his book on a Dupont bench at lunch really not see him? or me? or just didn’t care? There were plenty o other spots to sit.
- Why is the one part of Fox and Hounds always jammed packed and the other one deserted? They’re the same thing right?
Anyone with the answer to these or other DC mysteries, please get in touch. Thanks ever so!

30 day challenge 30DC dc editing marketing niche plain English wash wash washington words writing
While this blog has covered a lot of topics (go to the upper right corner search box and search for just about anything if ya don’t believe me), I’m trying to REIN IN.
Focusing is tough when you’re as (unofficially) ADD as me but I’m learning formally (oh, btw you MUST check out the 30 Day Challenge, if you have ANY interest in internet marketing or the internet or marketing or…) and informally, focus is key. (Oh look! Bright shiny objects! Hmm, this is gonna be tougher than I thought.)
Anywho, this blog needs to start being about something. So I started thinking … what did I want it to be about – what do I care about, think others care about and think I have something to say about?
And then I remembered: Oh yah! Washington DC (Wash) and Writing (Words). Thus, the new new sidebars (look to the right of this post for the blue side-by-side boxes labelled “WASH” and “WORDS.” They’ll be changing each day with relevant posts from each subject area I’m following/reading and enjoying. In the movie biz (see below)

movie biz
, when the director gets the shot he wants (not the scene, or even the minute, just that one moment), the crew calls “picture!” I know from my vassssttt recent movie experience (see movie bizzz).
Friday I stayed home to watch the filming. (Did I mention Russell Crowe and Ben Affleck were outside my window? Or than Russell nodded, saluted and said “hey” to me?!).
I went grocery shopping (in the middle of the day!). I worked on my blog. I wrote friends. You came over for dinner. We laughed and talked and snuggled and you opened a bottle of wine. You fell asleep and I tiptoed back out to watch a bit more filming (okay, so I may have gotten a call asking me not to press my face against the glass for the next cut. And yeah, so I might have realized that call came right after I padded out in pajamas. but still).
