Meme – a – licious: hitting the interweb big time

My pal, Soupy Meg has tagged ME, yours truly, for a meme.

What the heckily is that? Well, as she so eloquently puts it, a meme is kinda the interweb version of a chain letter. okie, she didn’t say “interweb” but still. Others say it’s like tag – zap! you’re it. But it’s not evil, or banned by schools, so okay, a meme is like a chain letter (with no death threats to loved ones) or tag (without the fear and anxiety of gym class… here goes..

It’s National Police Week, which means Judiciary Square, and its Fallen Officer Memorial are glorious. I don’t have a particular connection to police officers but I do have a connection to this place and the painful beauty it reverberates in memory, in mourning but in celebration for lives lost too soon. These were the true good guys – you can see all over the faces of those they left behind, who come to remember.
