Authenticity — a matter of faith

In continuing to review some old-school lessons (want to write? READ) I’m trying something new with the blog here and again…. excerpting some of what I’m reading RIGHT now – and sharing the thoughts/discussions/arguments/emotions these writers have spurred in me.

Today, I am thinking about authenticity, thanks to Suburban Turmoil,  who discusses the reaction to her meeting up and befriending a slightly more …. traditionally Christian blogger and fellow parenting-blog award-winner, Angie.  While many of Angie’s readers were positive, Suburban is careful to stress, there were others….

Snark v Lark: Verizon v. the Ring

Snark: My Verizon episode:
i have been trying for week to pay my Verizon internet and Fios (that’s Tee Vee for those unititiated) bill. It has not been easy (harken back to my long-fought battle circa 2005 to cancel a Verizon account never installed for which I was billed $29.99, plus late fees every month.)

Washwords, you just won the superbowl!

Okay, not really. ( The Pittsburgh Steelers won (yay! congrats soupy meg and other steeler nation peeps!)

You know the ad. “Big Ben, you just won the super bowl, whaddaya gonna do now?”

And Big Ben (or insert winning quarterback here) says “I’m going to Disneyworld!!! Tm”

So I didn’t win the superbowl and I’m not going to Disneyworld, but stay with me… it’s a metaphor.
