I love the idea of this……..tiny essays about real things, people, places.

Very interesting concept. I have my students write journal entries every day at the beginning of class, except I provide them with quotes, photographs or videos to watch and then ask them to write short responses. At first, they don't know what to write, and they are a little intimidated but as the semester progresses their flow of ideas improves and they do not want to stop when I say stop after a few minutes. This form of brainstorming that you present here is more specifically defined and different. I will try it out as well. Thanks for sharing. the fearless blogs last post: Boxing Anyone?

OMG…Mr. Marusa said that same thing to me. And it meant much the same! I saw him later in life at my cousin’s wedding. He told me I could call him Joe now. I said, Thanks Mr. Marusa.
